The Brews - Brewtality (2006)

The Brews started writing and jamming together around early 2003 in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. With no previous band experience it didn't take long for the guys to gel together and write some seriously powerful and meaningful tunes.

The band played their first show in September '03 and hasn't looked back since, playing constantly throughout the weeks up until now, playing in various parts of South Australia and many many times in their hometown. They have created a name for themselves in the music scene with their explosive and energetic live shows.

Even though the bands message remains around the issues of politics, social justice and acceptance, The Brews aim to make their live show as fun as humanly possible. For the hour on stage, at least, they intend to make everyone in the room forget about their day jobs, forget about the troubles of daily life, absorb the music and just let themselves go.

The Brews would be best described as a fast melodic punk band, but not of the average kind. For some help defining this, influences for the members of the band include but are not limited to - Frenzal Rhomb, NOFX, Strung Out, Raised Fist, MYC, Sick Of It All, Slayer and 88 Fingers Louie.

The band has played alongside all other label mates and a heap of other local bands. Also interstate acts such as Vicious, Angry Kid, Slick 46 and The Satellites, they have shared the stage with international acts Horrorpops, The Suicide Machines, No Use for a name and Lagwagon in more recent times.

The Brews have two releases on Two Bucks Records. The first called "The Way of The Barracuda", this is a demo CD which sold out of print in its first 2 months. The second is release is the new 7-track CD currently titled "Brewtality" which is out now and is set to do big things.
