Zounds - The Curse of Zounds (1981)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zounds

Zounds were an English anarchist band formed in 1977 from loose jamming sessions around the Reading area. Originally they were part of the cassette culture movement, releasing material on the Fuck Off Records tape label, and were also involved in the squatting and free festival scene. The name of the band is derived from the old English minced oath "zounds", which is a contraction of "God's wounds".

Teenage Head - Teenage Head (1979)-1996

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenage_Head_%28band%29

Teenage Head is a Canadian rock group from Hamilton, Ontario and was one of the most popular Canadian punk rock bands during the early 1980s. They were sometimes referred to as the "Canadian Ramones", despite the fact that their sound was closer to rockabilly than to some of the Ramones' 60s pop influences. Nevertheless, they shared with the Ramones a love of goofy lyrics and a ferocious live show. Although the band is still recording and touring as a unit, they have never succeeded in recapturing their early audience.

http://www.myspace.com/dysboston

http://homepages.nyu.edu/~cch223/usa/dys_main.html

DYS ("Department of Youth Services"), along with fellow band SSD, was the backbone of the so-called "Boston Crew" - a group of guys who lifted weights, ate lots of red meat, and advocated the straight edge. DYS formed around singer Dave Smalley, a Washington DC native attending school in Boston, and bassist Jon Anastas, previously of Decadence (see the This Is Boston Not L.A. comp). The band released a classic 12" in 1983 on SSD's XClaim label and played shows in Boston and elsewhere on the East Coast.

The Slits - Cut (1979)

Some information: The Slits are a post-punk band. The quartet was formed in 1976 by members of the bands The Flowers of Romance and The Castrators. The members were Ari Up (Arianna Forster) and Palmolive (Paloma Romera, who later left to join The Raincoats), with Viv Albertine and Tessa Pollitt replacing founding members Kate Korus and Suzy Gutsy. Palmolive was replaced by male drummer Budgie (aka Pete Clarke), formerly of The Spitfire Boys and later to join Siouxsie & the Banshees.
